Murmansk State Technical University hosted an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Prosecutor's office in Murmansk

On December 13, the second of a series of cultural and educational events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation and the 100th anniversary of the Prosecutor's Office in Murmansk took place within the framework of the project of the Murmansk Regional Branch of the Murmansk Region supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Murmansk Region.

A book published as part of the project was presented during the event. The book was prepared jointly with the regional supervisory authority and the Global Media agency under the editorship of the Prosecutor of the Murmansk region, State Adviser of Justice of the 3rd class Sergey Pavolin. The total circulation amounted to 670 copies.

Denis Moiseev, Chairman of the Murmansk Regional Branch of the Russian Geographical Society,  presented the project “Celebrating the 300th anniversary of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Russia”, aimed at promoting patriotic feelings and civic engagement and raising awareness among young people about the activities and history of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation. Sergey Goncharov, a Member of the MRB RGS Council, noted the importance of such projects.

The project became one of the winners in the grant competition of the Ministry of Culture of the Murmansk region. The main goal of the project was to show the historical role of the Prosecutor's office in the formation of state apparatus in Murmansk. The Murmansk Regional Branch of the RGS studied its activities in the framework of research on the history of the Kola Arctic.

At the meeting, representatives of the MRB RGS handed over 2 copies of the book to the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of the MSTU. 

The Murmansk Regional Branch of the Russian Geographical Society expresses its gratitude to the staff of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines and personally to the head of the Department Tatyana Volkova for her active participation in the event.
