The film was created in the most famous places of the Murmansk region – in Teriberka and in the Sami village. For one of the scenes, the crew went out on a boat to the Barents Sea. Actors from Murmansk and Moscow, including the actor of the Murmansk Regional Drama Theater Vladimir Vagaytsev, starred in the film.

The film was directed by Julia Krylova, a Murmansk born director. She had been wanting to create a film about her native region, the Arctic, for several years.

The film raises relevant problems related to family and marriage. The creators of the project also want to raise awareness about the small-numbered indigenous people of the North – the Sami. The Kola Sami Association supported the project tremendously. The Kola Sami not only advised the project team, but also starred in several episodes. Anastasia Yagodina, project manager of the MRB RGS, took part in the creation of the film as a translator.
