The Murmansk Regional Branch continues to talk about the events held at the Geographical Dictation sites in the Murmansk region. In the Murmansk Regional Scientific Library, the Dictation was organized by the RGS Youth Club. Those present were introduced to the work and traditions of the Club. It celebrated its 5th anniversary on October 4.

Nikita Gaviley, a student of the Murmansk Center for Youth Tourism, told about the RGS camp session in the Orlyonok Russian Children's Center he participated in. His groupmates prepared an exhibition of their diaries and drawings from hiking on the Kola Peninsula. MASU student Mikhail Zhidkov talked about his trip to the All-Russian session “Sursky Compass" in Penza.

The traditional awarding ceremony of the participants of the autumn contests was also held. Scientists, prominent figures of culture and public life took part in awarding. They also read the Dictation questions out loud.

Elena Nesterkina, an employee of the Murmansk Regional Children's and Youth Library named after Valentina Makhaeva, presented diplomas to Murmansk participants of the interregional contest "Traveler's Diary" and the sign "Guiding Star" to Maria Kovalchuk for the best description of her trip.

Doctor of Biological Sciences of the Polar Research Institute of Marine Fisheries and Oceanography Natalia Yaragina noted the most successful participants of the annual educational game on the littoral of the Kola Bay "Day of the Sea" and thanked their teachers.

Sergey Zinchenko, Head of the Northern Fleet Headquarters Department and a member of the Northern Fleet expeditions to the Arctic archipelagos awarded the winners of the "325th anniversary of the Russian Navy" quiz and participants of the annual Hydrography Championship "Notes of a young hydrographer".

The invited guests were joined by Irina Bulygina, Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Murmansk Region, Head of the Promotion and Marketing Department.

Many Dictation questions were devoted to the Murmansk region, which pleased both participants and presenters.
