On October 17, a cultural and educational event dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation and the 100th anniversary of the Prosecutor's Office in Murmansk took place within the framework of the project of the Murmansk Regional Branch of the RGS supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Murmansk Region.
A book published as part of the project was presented during the event. The book was prepared jointly with the regional supervisory authority and the Global Media agency under the editorship of the Prosecutor of the Murmansk region, State Adviser of Justice of the 3rd class Sergey Pavolin. The total circulation amounted to 670 copies.
Deputy Prosecutor of the Murmansk Region Sergey Shvetsov, Senior Assistant of the Prosecutor of the Murmansk Region for Media Relations Igor Burlakov and Chairman of the Council of Veterans and Pensioners of the Prosecutor's Office of the Murmansk Region Olga Vasilchenko presented the book. They noted the importance of the book, which reflects the milestones in the history of the supervisory authority of the Russian Federation and the Murmansk region.
“This date is significant not only for the Prosecutor's office, but also for the entire Russian statehood. 300 years is a long and difficult path that has been traversed by outstanding prosecutors. Many people took part in the creation of the book, each of whom is a professional in their field. These are the current employees of the Prosecutor's office of the region, veterans of the Prosecutor's office, professional publishers, employees of the Ministry of Culture, members of the RGS who have shown genuine interest in the history of our department,” said Igor Burlakov, Senior Assistant of the Prosecutor of the Murmansk Region for Media Relations.
Chairman of the Murmansk Regional Branch of the Russian Geographical Society Denis Moiseev presented the project “Celebrating the 300th anniversary of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Russia” aimed at promoting patriotic feelings and civic engagement and raising awareness among young people about the activities and history of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation. The project became one of the winners in the grant competition of the Ministry of Culture of the Murmansk region.
“The project is not finished yet, it continues – we are holding a whole series of events dedicated to anniversaries. The purpose of the project is to teach the public, especially young people, about the activities of the Prosecutor's office, about its development and functions in various periods,” Denis Moiseev said.
Olga Anisimova, a representative of the Ministry of Culture of the Murmansk Region, congratulated all those involved in the project on the publication of the book and noted its the high quality.
Chairman of the Council of the Murmansk Regional Branch of the Russian lawyers association Andrey Sharkov noted the importance of the Prosecutor's office and on behalf of the Murmansk regional branch of the Russian lawyers association congratulated on the anniversaries.
General Director of the Global Media agency Tatiana Danilova spoke about the work on the book, and congratulated everyone present on its release.
In the final part of the event, representatives of the Murmansk Region Prosecutor's Office handed over books to the library and to the Ministry of Culture of the Murmansk Region.
