The project implemented in 2019-2020 was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory and the Year of Memory and Glory. The aim of the project was to preserve the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War by creating smaller versions of historical heritage objects for visually impaired people to touch.

The smaller versions of monuments were created using 3D modelling. As a part of the project, a special laboratory was establihsed in the Murmansk Regional Special Library for Blind and Visually Impaired People to create smaller versions of historical heritage objects of the Kola North. Visually impaired people were involved in the process, which ensured that each model has been properly tested. In total, 6 three-dimensional models of military glory monuments located in Murmansk were created in the course of the project. Each model has an audio description.

The project created new opportunities for visually impaired people to study the history of their native land: after studying the models of monuments, they were able to "see" the images of memorable objects in a new way, form a three-dimensional, spatial representation of them in their minds, and have an equal opportunity to touch the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War.

The creation of the 3D models will contribute to the formation of a permanent exhibition, a first one of this kind in the Murmansk region. The exhibition will later become an integral part of new excursion routes around the Kola Region.
