The crew of the "The Barents Sea" TV series got to enjoy the Barents sea on a real sea fishing trip and proved themselves to be excellent fishermen.
Oleg Fomin, the director of the series, actors Pavel Trubiner, Ekaterina Vilkova, Igor Petrenko and some other members of the film crew were the ones who went out to the sea.
Later on, the guests were able to eat the cod they caught themselves and taste some fresh scallop and sea urchin. At the end of the day, they were given a tour around the Vyev-Navolok lighthouse. They examined the surroundings and abandoned positions of missile and anti-submarine systems.
"The Barents Sea" TV series is a project of the Star Media company. The shooting took place from July through August in the Murmansk region. The series is a sequeal of the famous military series called "The Black Sea", which premiered in the spring of 2020 on the"Russia-1" TV channel. The events of the "The Barents Sea" series unfold during the Great Patriotic War. The plot follow the attempts of the main characters to prevent sabotage in the Arctic port. The director's chair was again occupied by Oleg Fomin, with Ekaterina Vilkova and Pavel Trubiner starring as the main characters.
The exact date of the premiere is still unknown, but it is assumed that the series will be released by May 9th.
