1994 - present Senior research assistant, junior researcher, chief specialist, head of the sector, deputy head of the department, Deputy Director for Science at the Murmansk Marine Biological Institute (MMBI)

Academic degrees and scientific activities:

D. V. Moiseev's research interests include climate change issues, the use of geographical information systems in marine ecosystem research, regional oceanology of the European Seas of Russia, tools and methods of integrated marine research, radioecology, marine debris research.

Candidate of Geographical Sciences (2005)

Author of more than 170 scientific publications, including 21 in WoS/Scopus publications, 29 in Russian journals from the list of the Higher Attestation Commission, 143 in the RSCI.

Expert of the Russian Geographical Society and the Russian Science Foundation.

D. V. Moiseev was the executor and head of various Russian and international projects carried out within the framework of the Federal Target Program "World Ocean", The Unified State System of Information on the World Ocean (ESIMO), EC FP7, Kolarctic, etc.

Expedition activities:

In course of his career, D. V. Moiseev participated (as a chief, deputy chief and researcher) in more than 50 marine and coastal expeditions to the Barents, Greenland, White, Kara, Azov and Black Seas, as well as to the archipelagos of Svalbard, Franz Josef Land, Novaya Zemlya. Recently, he has been actively participating in expedition studies of the Isfjorden Bay system on Svalbard.

Working with the youth:

In 2009-2012, he was Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Murmansk Region and Deputy Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the North-Western Federal District. Since 2010, he has been participating in the work of the committee of the annual competition of scientific works of young scientists and specialists of the Murmansk region. Since 2012, he has been the chairman of the competition committee.
