The Pomors are called the descendants of ancient settlers of Novgorod and Karelia. Starting from the 12th century they occupied the south-eastern and south-western coasts of the White Sea. In terms of the grant Russian Pomors will be explored historically, eco-geographically, socially and publicly. The outcome will be a documentary ‘Pomors. People of the Winter Coast’ from the cycle ‘Happy People’.
Goals:
- Historical, eco-geographical, social and public exploration of Russian Pomors.
Objectives:
- Reveal the historical and cultural identity of the Pomors;
- Emphasize the historical and cultural diversity of the peoples of Russia;
- Eco-geographical education and enlightenment.
