To make a video while traveling in Russia and other countries of the world, to send it to the contest and to win an honorary prize as well as to tell everyone about yourself and your adventures. “The Wonder of the World”, a tourist film festival that tells about attractive routes, sites, and places in Russia and other countries, announces a video contest in which anyone can participate. Applications for participation in the first stage are accepted until May 25.
You can submit a work for the contest in more than 30 categories, both individually and in a team format. In some categories of the contest, the advantage is given to short videos shot on a smartphone. Themes are also not limited to a set of locations: image videos of tourist places, reports, and even short films based on travel are accepted for the contest. Several major categories have been allocated for materials promoting environmental, event, cultural, and educational tourism.
The Russian Geographical Society supports the tourist film festival “Divo Mira” (eng. “The Wonder of the World”) which unites fans of domestic and outbound tourism. The RGS is also acting as part of the expert commission of the contest. The final of the first stage will be held on June 10 in Astana: experts will select the best video projects from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Uzbekistan, and some other countries.
