13 February 2015, HQ of the Russian Geographical Society in Moscow hosted regular meeting of the RGO Media Council under the leadership of Dmitry Peskov. During the meeting members of the Media Council discussed current activities of the Society and heard for media grants 2015 candidates. This year media grants nominations are:
1. Documentaries, animated films and television shows
2. Fictional films
3. Other projects (interactive maps, guides, virtual tours etc.)
A total of 38 projects were presented to Media Council. Most of them will be recommended for consideration at the RGO Expert Council scheduled for 19 February.
