"Sedov" (until 1946 Kommodore Johnsen, until 1936 - Magdalene Vinnen II) - is a four-master barque built in 1921 in Germany. In 1945 Germany gave the vessel to the USSR as reparations, in 1946 it was named after Russian polar explorer Georgy Sedov.
In 2011, "Sedov" celebrated its 90th anniversary, and in 2012 went to its first circumnavigation, which lasted more than 13 months.
At the moment the ship belongs to Murmansk State Technical University and is the largest educational sailing vessel in the world.
