On October 27, 2019, the Geographical Dictation of the Russian Geographical Society will be held for the fifth time in Russia and abroad. The Dictation will be held at 5831 venues in 110 countries, including Russia, the UK, Austria, Iran, Egypt, Japan, Australia and others. The event will also take place in the capital of France. The Dictation in Paris is organized by the Association Globus, the purpose of which is to mutually increase knowledge of the geography and history of Russia and France and to develop ties between the two countries. The Dictation was informationally supported by the French Geographical Society.
In Paris, everyone will be able to test their knowledge of Russian geography in the Orthodox Spiritual and Cultural Center on Branly embankment, not far from the Eiffel Tower. Questions of the Dictation will be presented in Russian, French and English. Citizens of Russia and other countries over the age of 14 will be able to take part in the action. All participants will sign up by sending an email to globusassociationgmail.com or by filling out an online form.
Registration of participants will begin at 11:00 on October 27. The Dictation will start at 11:30. Duration of the event is 45 minutes. After the end of the Dictation, everyone will have an opportunity to watch the film of the "My Planet" TV channel, shot with the support of the Russian Geographical Society - "Reserved Russia. Baikal-Lensky Reserve", as well as take part in a tea party.
