"The Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, a traditional partner of the RGS, has been providing its platform for the presentation of the Society's projects in the region for the second year. In 2022, at the booth "The Arctic — the Territory of Dialogue", the RGS held its own session "Science and Strategic Decisions in the Arctic" on the role of science in making strategic management decisions about the forms of human presence in the Arctic zone of Russia," said Alina Lisenkova, Director of the Expert Analytics and International Affairs Department of the RGS.

The annual photo contest "The Most Beautiful Country" is a large-scale media project of the RGS dedicated to the preservation of Russia's wildlife and fostering respect for the environment. It was first held in 2015. There are no restrictions on the age and place of residence of participants in the rules of the creative competition. The main condition is that the photos must be taken only on the territory of Russia. In time of the competition's existence, more than 622,000 works have been uploaded to the photo.rgo.ru. The works of the participants of the photo contest "The Most Beautiful Country" are exhibited all over the world, including at international venues. In 2022 alone, more than 22 million people got to see them.
